Peach trees lossing fruit and leaves (forum)

I have a peacherine and a dwarf peach, that were both fruiting nicely fruit about golf ball size. Then the leaves turned yellow and fell off leaving only the fruit, the fruit then proceded to shrivel up and fall off. Any reason for this? I do have a dwarf necterine that is only just starting to fruit but it's leaves still look very healthy and am hoping to avoid the same fate.

Have you got a pic? pot or in the ground? It doesn't sound good at all. Have you sprayed or applied anything to them recently?
You describe what transpires when a herbicide is sprayed on a plant. Hope that is not the case.

Hey chris all the trees are potted, no pics I afraid as is a little late the trees are now completely bare. leaves gradually went yellow and fell, then the fruit started to dry out and go wrinkley at which point I stripped the fruit off the tree to try and reduce stress on the trees. I had fertilised all the trees about a month before this all happened. But no sprays.

Hi Mat,
The only thing that comes to mind now is the fertiliser....if you used a chemical fertiliser on a potted fruit tree you probably have burned the roots. I would flush the nectarine with lots of water, if this is the case.
Use a slow release product or liquid organic type products on your potted trees.
