I recently had a batch of blacks and sibabats sprouting but gave the seedlins away.Ingham is probably the southern limit for them on the east coast.

Bummer.

Thanks anyway Mike. I guess I won't try these in Brissy then.

Do you think I could grow Kapundung here? I'm looking for the pink variety, and will gladly pay you for an seedlings if you have any. I'd offer to trade but I very much doubt I have anything you haven't got or would want...I'm expecting some costa rican marang seeds if you're interested.

thanks

Starling thanks but I might gracious decline as they are avilable here. I sent a few varieties of marang seeds to Central America last year to help improve their lines. The Australian one are derived from the best Philipine and Borneo stocks and you might struggle a bit in Briz.Kwai muk, keladang and jacks might do better.

Marang has fruited here and further south, but isn't easy. If you have good soil and a good micro closer to the bay you could do well with Marang. You'd just want to hope you have a good one after pampering it to fruiting ....

I think I might donate the marang seeds. I just don't have the time to give them the attention they need I think. Let me know if you want to have a crack at them BJ, I'll post.

Also the sand cherry is doing really, really well--started putting on new growth after a watering and two days in full sun, very vigorous. Will probably be able to send you some shoots in a couple of months if you want them, I'd have to look up the best way of doing this as I really have no idea what I'm doing most of the time.
