Hi,
I just bought two red centre limes. (I think it's a finger lime x mandarin or something).
Just wondering if anyone has been successful growing these in Perth?
I have been told to just treat it like a normal citrus, but try hard to keep it out of the wind.
Just used to Citrus potting mix soil they had at the shops.
Any tips? I'm also looking for tips on finger limes I bought a Judy's everbearing

Those hybrids were developed at Merbein Vic, regularly gets 40+ in summer, not too different to Perth. All Microcitrus and their hybrids will suffer more than Citrus, from heat stress, especially drying out/underwatering. High temp isnt a problem, but exposure to hot wind and missing a watering on hot days will cause leaves to shrivel and drop.
Citrus will usually spring back after a missed watering.
You could fertilize less heavily but more frequently than with Citrus.

Thanks for your help Jakfruit. I'll be pretty stoked if I can keep them alive and get some fruit. Otherwise I'll have to just be happy with my (boring) bulletproof meyer and eureka that pump out fruit like it's going out of fashion.
