I have bought Papaya plant and Kaffir Lime from DaleysFruit.
Both need Sand/Volcanic mix as per the website information.
But just wanted to know can I use mixer of Premium Potting mix and 3rd part of Volcanic dust for both plants or I have to use the same mix as mentioned on the Daleys website.

What are the steps I need to look for and to be maintained in future, if I don't use mentioned mix.

As I am planting this both plants first time wanted to be right from the beginning.

Hi, I think the website says
Preferred Soil Type
Perfect Drainage (Sand/Volcanic), Good Drainage
That means when planting in the ground, not pots.
I wouldnt be adding 3rd part of Volcanic dust to pot mix, it will become too fine, also it might change the pH. Look at some roadworks where there is some leftover blue metal, ie volcanic crusher dust. Its very dense, doesnt help if you use too much.
Some Basalt aka blue metal dust could be used, or Granite dust both for minerals.
Drainage is increased by putting in larger particles ie 2mm to 3mm size bark chips, 2mm to 3mm sand, perlite etc. Coir is good because it increases air content plus drainage plus water holding.
