Amanda says... A Lemon Gold maybe Markmelb? I have one here and it tastes like that...I love it. It's fallen out of favour though I suspect - as the fruit is smaller and it can be a patchy bearer? It's a great x-pollinator though. I can eat the skin on ours also...it's fine. It blows me away at how differently this same variety has grown between where we lived 600km north, and here.... It's a very lush tree in this cooler and wetter climate....it requires savage pruning every second year - yet in the hotter, windier and saltier climate up north - it stayed way more stunted...but it produced just as much fruit - if not more? I suspect that spoiling these trees too much is perhaps not a good idea/plan... | About the Author Amanda LESCHENAULT,6233,WA 20th June 2019 11:07pm #UserID: 16828 Posts: 89 View All Amanda's Edible Fruit Trees |
