Should Andean Walnut be pruned?

I have a 10m+ Andean Walnut here in Ecuador, 2800msl. It is strong and bears fruit. Just wondering if it should be pruned or just left to grow as it wants?

It's up to you Arno. If it is going to shade areas of your garden where you want to grow fruit trees then pruning would be good but the nuts will fall regardless of the height. Encouraging lower branches is a good thing in Australia as we have cockatoos that love any nut that you can grow. You have a better chance of getting nuts for yourself then! :)
