Should my trees be fruiting?

    2 responses

Hi all,
I planted peach , nectarine and plum trees in my back yard in around March last year .... I wasn't expecting fruits on the first year, as the trees was very small .. The trees has now grown to be approximately 2 meters and was full of flowers (the flowers are now falling off, but new growth of leaves are filling the tree).
Should I be expecting any fruits any time soon?
Perhaps, again, this time of the year is too soon, but when would the first forms of fruits appear?

My Peach and Nectarine both produced a couple of fruits from the first spring in the ground. By the second year they produced more than 100 fruits each.
This is their 3rd spring.
I have had to prune them hard to keep them under 2m so I can net them.
The peach has perhaps 200 fruits that will need a little thinning out. I think you have a problem if your flowers are falling off.
