Sick Imperial Mandarin - yellowing leaves

    1 responses

saf starts with ...
I planted a grafted imperial mandarin last summer but it has been sick since.

Initially I had some new growth but soon after leaves started showing pale green spots and eventually leaves turning yellow (see picture). What can I do to treat the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Brendan says...
Usually, if the older leaves are yellowing, it's lacking magnesium (epsom salts).
If the new leaves are yellowing, it needs zinc & manganese.

They grow best if mulched well out to the dripline, but keep it away from the trunk to stop collar rot.
I give mine old cow manure as well, under the mulch.
