Sick Lemon Tree

    5 responses

I have a lemon tree that seems to look very sick. The leaves on the tree are yellow in colour. We thought it might be because not enough fertilizer, but after putting it every fortnight for a month, there's still no changes. Can you help?

Thanks

Maybe it has gall wasp, though I don't know if you'd get that down in Melbourne.
Check all thick branches for lumps with a little hole in them. If you find any prune them out and take them away.

The lumps are the give-away and the little entry hole confirms it. Had them in my grapefruit last year.

I can tell that we in Vic do get the gall wasp I had to prune my lemon tree back very hard to get rid of it, that was about 2 years ago.I can't see any sign of a return of the wasp as yet but ihave just seen the first flowers on the tree since the prune.
