Whats the best soil for a vege garden too please? I'm on the southern part of the Gold Coast.

Soil that drains well and has plenty of organic matter will be sufficient. You can improve sandy soil with a bag of compost/manure/dynamic lifter. With clay soils you may need to apply gypsum to break it down, or you can make a raised bed to improve drainage.
