John says... Plants show this in differing ways. Most of the fruit trees, roses i believe and pot plants, there leaves just suddenly brown curly up and die very slowly. They start going brown around he edges i have noticed, but where i am now this is a very hard thing to happen. Usually it only happens on clay soils where the soil below the roots forms a clay sump. Therefore water or the roots carnt get through. Trees (fruit that is) generally like to have the roots wet, soak that up, then dry out. This allows fresh air in to the root system, then you need to water again. Get this right on and you get growth and maximun fruit prodution. | About the Author John10 SB South Australia 4th March 2008 12:48pm #UserID: 549 Posts: 127 View All John10's Edible Fruit Trees |
