I am growing avocados and have just realized that I have put about 10 times too much sulphate of potash around the trees. What will happen to the trees? Should I try to get it off the soil before it is absorbed? What should I do?

Thanks for that Mary T. It was very helpful. Think I'll try to take some off and then watch the trees for signs of nitrogen deficiency. Learning as I go.
