Yes exactly. Probably the race is on to find some of those cultivars, and not just Figs. Around here those older migrant residents are passing away, their houses and farms are being sold and redeveloped, heritage trees are removed, On top of that there is a Fruit tree removal scheme to eliminate fruit fly hosts....
In suburban Adelaide SA, fruit fly is better controlled by releasing sterile male fruit flies.
