We live about 150m from the 7 mile beach
and we would like some fruit trees.Which trees would grow in such close proximity to the ocean. We are on top of a cliff and our soil is quite heavy.
What do you suggest
Thank you

Hello Hedi, first I would go to the local nursery and ask what windbreak trees do well where you live and start planting. What sort of chill factor do you have there ? because that will influence what you can plant too. You could possibly grow some dwarf varieties of fruit trees on the sheltered side of your house.I'm sure others will have some good suggestions.

Hi Hedi - u may find that mulberry trees will make a good windbeak and you get fruit as well! I live 1km from ocean on a hill overlooking it - very salty, windy and harsh..my mulberry tree not phased by it at all :)
