I went to local market and saw this.. I was thinking maybe it was a dragon fruit but there no label. so my question is, is this a dragon fruit or just a cactus.

Looks like dragonfruit, but I have seen same that doesn't produce fruit , only flowers ( I don't know if these required cross pollination hence no fruit , but they had several plants and the flower bloomed longer than st dragonfruit).
So was it sold as dragonfruit?

Definitely a Dragonfruit. I’m pretty sure that it will bear fruit if cross pollinated. If it flowers, is should fruit 👍

I think pearl is white , I have tried several ,( including Bob Brimsmead's favourite purple one at Tropical Fruit World ) , I think the Peruvian red is the best tasting so far .
40+ fruits a year ,as big as a large mango ,
Good luck .
The little yellow pitaya is also very tasty , if not a little slower to produce .
