Edward3 says... Hi. I am growing both of these plums and they are both very good. Robe de Sergeant is a bit sweeter. Splendour is a bit larger and firmer. Just one observation - one year the Robe de Sergeant was a bit tasteless and I was quite disappointed. But that was due to the long period of rain and not enough sun. The next year the weather was better and the plums were excellent, restoring my opinion of this plum. It's important to let them ripen fully, as with all fruit. | About the Author Edward3 CARLINGFORD,2118,NSW 4th April 2023 8:04pm #UserID: 1655 Posts: 176 View All Edward3's Edible Fruit Trees |

SYA says... Hi Edward, thanks a lot for the reply. I will most likely get the Splendour as I know I can easily source it here, I can also source the D'Agen. How are the crops of your Robe de Sergeant compared to the Splendour? I'd also like the prune to help pollinate my Green Gage and Coe's Golden drop if possible. I will grow it as a large fan espalier. | About the Author SYA LAUNCESTON,7250,TAS 5th April 2023 3:24pm #UserID: 32660 Posts: 3 View All SYA's Edible Fruit Trees |
