GG says... Hi. The only red fleshed plums found commonly in Australia are the Satsuma, Mariposa (improved larger satsuma) and Mariposa (egg/oval shaped). Two different plums are sold under the name Mariposa in Australia and it sounds like your after the Mariposa (egg/oval shaped). Remember that blood plums need to be cross-pollinated to produce fruit. You will have to plant a different variety with it. Blood plums are cross-pollinated with Santa Rosa or Flavour Supreme. You're going to have to do some further research.
