Pinot noir grapes are almost black when ripe and are best known for the wine variety of the same name. This grape is best suited to cooler climates with dry summers and produces a light-bodied wine. It has been grown for wine making since the Middle Ages.

This is one of the most spectacular of the spring-flowering trees and one of the easiest to grow. During winter its bare branches are covered with large tulip-like flowers, rose-pink outside and white inside. Prefers a rich acid soil. Rustica Rubra is the best flowering magnolia for subtropical climates.

The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.

The fruit is a crisp fleshed, sweet fruit, harvested over 3 - 4 months resulting in a constant supply of delicious, healthy fruit, filled with anti oxidants. Blueberries have been nick named Brain Berries and Youth Berries because of the high anti oxidant levels in them. This variety is an evergreen,naturally dwarfing variety growing to 1.0m high x 0.75m in width. It is self fruitful and because of its low chilling requirement can be grown anywhere in Australia. This variety has been growing in trials in both warmer and cooler climates in Australia with great success in all climates.
