|
Unfortunately Daleys fruit tree nursery can not mail order to The Pocket (nsw) due to Agricultural restrictions enforced by NSW The Pocket (nsw) Plants - Most PopularInclude: Surrounding Suburbs (recommended) Plants not in stock Popularity: 1 Raspberry - Heritage
A primocane variety producing fruit on canes that arise from the ground during one season. Often referred to as low chill since canes do not need chilling to produce flowers. A most sought after variety as it fruits in Autumn thus extending the traditional fruiting period. It has a picking period of 8 - 12 weeks beginning in February.
Popularity: 1 Blueberry - Misty
The Misty is a true enigma, in that where it grows vigorously, such as on the red kraznozem soils of Northern NSW, it is very profitable and popular, yet on other soils it has often not grown well and is not a variety of popular choice. To produce high quality, early fruit, Misty is best grown under the evergreen system with attention being paid to nutrition and leaf diseases in order to keep the older leaves. It is an early fruiting variety, with light blue, medium to large fruit of excellent flavour.
Popularity: 1 Black Sapote - Seedling
Closely related to the Persimmon this attractive glossy foliaged tree produces a fruit often called the 'Chocolate Pudding Fruit'. Delicious when eaten as a desert with cream and a touch of Rum or vanilla. Seedling selection worth growing in cooler marginal areas.
Popularity: 1 Nashi Pear - Shinseiki
Round, medium to large, yellow fruit. Crisp creamy white flesh; mild, sweet flavour. Tastes best when tree ripened. Hangs on the tree in good condition for 4 - 6 weeks. Vigorous and spreading. Self-pollinating with a lower chill requirement than most.
