Blaxlands Creek Fruit Trees (Popular)
Blaxlands Creek Fruit Trees and the most popular plants Australians buy for mail order. With fruit trees you should consider climate suitability.
Nashi Pear - Tropical Sunshu
$59.00 ($49.00-$59.00 choose a size)
A superior low chill Nashi suitable for warm temperate and subtropical areas, a vigorous selection that is self pollinating and will be highly productive within 2-3 years. The delicate beige speckled skin is attractive, the flesh is white, crisp and crunchy and melts in the mouth. Delicious eaten straight off the tree.
Custard Apple - Paxton Prolific
$89.00 ($89.00-$99.00 choose a size)
A PBR selection of the popular Pinks Mammoth variety. It has a low seed count and excellent natural fruit set. This means that, unlike some other varieties, there is no need to laboriously hand pollinate each bloom to achieve a good harvest. Unpruned custard apples grow into very large trees. With dedicated, twice yearly pruning it is possible to restrict tree height and spread to 3-4m. This variety is subject to Plant Breeder Rights (PBR).The foliage is delicate on young trees, and our potted plants are known for their older leaves to turn yellow and drop during transport to conserve energy. This is not a problem long term. With care and acclimatisation they will bounce back
Plum - Santa Rosa
$49.00 ($49.00-$74.00 choose a size)
Large, first quality fruit, purplish-crimson in colour with a pale blue bloom. Flesh yellow, with a red blush coming from just below the skin. Mildly sweet, with some tartness near skin and stone. Good bearer, considered to be one of the best plums.
Avocado - Hass (A)
$54.00 ($54.00-$129.00 choose a size)
Most popular variety due to both its superior taste and excellent keeping qualities. Medium sized, pear-shaped fruit has an excellent creamy, flesh. The leathery rough dark-purple skin turns to black when ripe. H Aug-Dec. Hass is an A type variety and for good fruit set a B type variety is needed for cross pollination. Suggested varieties to grow alongside a Hass are Shepard, Sharwill, Fuerte, Bacon (if you're in a cooler climate)and Linda. Happy fresh avocado smashing.
Peach - Flordagold
