The natural insecticide azadirachtin can be extracted from the seeds of the neem tree. Removal of any shoots from below the graft is essential maintenance to maintain your grafted neem. Weed warning: in Dry Tropics Neem tree regenerates easily and can be a weed problem. While not truly dwarf, this tree can be described as reliably smaller than others due to the spreading habit and a size of roughly 4x4 m which make it a more manageable companion in small yards.
