A clumping perennial with grey-green and white, striped, strappy leaves. Clusters of blue flowers appear on spikes in spring and summer and are held above the leaves. These are followed by shiny, dark blue berries. Excellent specimen for form and colour contrast in mixed beds. Ideal for mass planting and more formal landscape designs. Originating from the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in South America, the Bolivian name of the fruit is Achachairu and translated means honey kiss.
