Cherry - Royal Crimson PBR

$79.00 ($79.00-$79.00 choose a size)

Very sweet, low chill cherry with firm textured flesh and deep, dark red colour when ripe. This PBR cultivar is well suited to warm temperate and cooler sub-tropical areas. Self pollinating. The Royal Crimson is helpful to pollinate other low chill cherries like Minnie Royal and Royal Lee. Together, all three will work to produce good crops of cherries in your low chill orchard. Unauthorised commercial propagation of plants with Plant Breeder Rights is not permitted.

Dwarf Macadamia - A16

$49.00 ($19.75-$74.00 choose a size)

An Australian selection that shows dwarfing tendencies. High yielder, excellent nut quality. Slow growing and wind tolerant. Med - large nut and high kernal recovery. A semi-dwarfing small, compact tree.

Dwarf Persimmon - Ichikikijiro (NA)

$79.00 ($79.00-$79.00 choose a size)

Large, flat fruit of excellent quality, non-astringent and seedless when grown on its own. Being a dwarf variety it is well suited to backyards but is also a good commercial variety. Will fruit as early as March in the subtropics. Ichikikijiro generally produce only one flush of growth in the spring so don't be alarmed if your tree is not growing in summer, this habit contributes to their small stature.

Loquat - Nagasakiwase

$49.00 ($49.00-$79.00 choose a size)

The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.

Cherry - Minnie Royal

$54.00 ($54.00-$89.00 choose a size)

Minnie Royal cherry is a low chill producer of fruit with stand out flavour. It is a medium to large sized, red cherry with a firm texture. The tree is very productive and has been known to set heavy crops in southern California. Chill hours can be as low as 200 hours and does depend on micro climate. Fruiting can be as early as November. Minnie Royal requires a pollinator which has traditionally been the older Royal Lee variety but flowering times of these 2 can be mismatched in warmer areas and an intermediary is helpful. The newer, self pollinating Royal Crimson blooming can bridge between these two. Bees are the main pollinating insects, so plant flowering herbs to attract them to your garden. Other stonefruit may also provide pollination services. Plant within 5m of each other for best results. Hand pollination could be helpful in years where flowering times are mismatched.

TUNCESTER, NSW

Wattle - Queensland silver

Plant now established and growing well. The soil had been prepared earlier so planting was straight forward. There is a drip line on a timer to ensure adequate water during the early months. The silver foliage will add contrast amongst the other shrubs.
