Fruit Trees > Temperate Fruit Trees > Plum Tree > Dwarf Plum Gulf Gold Tree (G)
This golden plum is firm with excellent flavour & texture and a small seed. 350 hours chill. This dwarf plum is an ideal backyard variety and perfect for pots. An excellent all-round variety with the added bonus that it doesn't seem to be attractive to fruit fly as much as other stonefruit. Partially self pollinating but benefits from pollination with Gulf Ruby. Attractive in spring when it is smother in white blossoms.
Other Names: Gulfgold, Gulf Gold

Dwarf Plum Gulf Gold Tree (G)

Year 2 totally loaded with beautiful fruit - 3 other plum trees but Satsuma or blood and not supposed to be pollinators - growing Sunshine Coast - netted so not one grub - probably would have been larger fruit in a not so dry year - Excellent

Dwarf Plum Gulf Gold Tree (G)

Hundreds of flowers this year (3rd year in ground) but only about 10 full size fruit for 3rd straight year but we don't get frost really here in Southwest Florida. Probably need a pollinator.

Dwarf Plum Gulf Gold Tree

Good in Oakey. Requires minimal additional water, soil was not improved on planting 4 years on, excellent production of large fruit, requires protection from fruit fly. Very successful.

Bought this year at the market for $5 from an old italian guy.  You can't go wrong.  Obviously it was home grown, I suspect from seed.  Still in it's pot and doing well.

Plum - Gulfgold

2 YEARS OLD : Plum flowers have appeared from July 20 to August 20 and there are about 3000 flowers ! So probably about 3000 fruit in early December ! Will the branches break under the weight of the plums this second year ?
