5 to 9 years seems to be pretty standard as a juvenile period for south american Garcinias.Plant Breeder Rights apply to Garcinia humilis which interestly is not a valid species. The Bolivian achachairu remains an undescribed species and perhaps the most cold tolerant of better eating new world Garcinias.
