Agathi or Agati Plants wanted, WA

Hi,

I am looking for Agathi Plants or small trees in Perth, WA
I tried with seeds bought online from Queensland, but none of them sprouted :(

Assuming your talking Sesbania grandiflora, Agati grandiflora, I got some from Green Harvest and they germinated ok.
Not aware of anyone selling the plants but I would be surprised if there is not someone.
I suggest you try again with the seed next spring (i realize that a long wait) you need to scarify, put them in hot water and germinate using a heat pad.
The trick is to stop them damping off once they are a few inches. After that you should be fine. I suggest getting the seed started mid spring, most of mine was to early, once its out of the heated tray and potted up put it in a sheltered but bright (shadecloth or dappled shade position). They will be ready to plant out in the same year.

I have planted my 2 in the garden. Hopefully I have at least one red one.

I got mine from Green Harvest too..
And none of them germinated..
Thought I would have better luck with Plants.. or small trees

Believe eveything they say about not tolerating temps below 10deg C. I lost mine very early last winter, and my temps rarely go below 5.5 in the coldest of days.
