brown edges on leaves

harro starts with ...
We have bought a house and it has two trees on the front lawn, one is okay but the other has brown edges and dont look very good. I think they might be ornamental pears, we are in a coastal suburb could it be the bore water but then why only one.
Please help.

Please post photos harro. Trees on lawns are often in trouble. First keep grass well away from canopy of tree and mulch. Maybe you're on a slope and one gets more water than the other. Maybe one gets more shade. Maybe one's under attack by pest or virus or something and the other will succumb in time as well. Maybe you have a pet that's been peeing on one tree. Maybe maybe maybe many things... a photo would help.
