denise1 says... They can fruit light/ heavy in alternate years. My tree was in humid environment so cross pollenate occured naturally and more easily. Also there were tiny insects thought to be pollenating. Namely a fruit thrips called Thrips obscuratus.but not completely sure. When not enough flowers were being produced I would take off about half a dozen leaves from the middle of the current growth to allow/ induce flower buds to form.
