tiggywinkle starts with ... Hi, I'm trying to plan out my edibles around the garden and I have a tricky spot that I'm not sure what to do with. It's a spot in front of a south-west facing colorbond fence. It hardly gets any sun in the winter but in summer it gets full afternoon sun with radiant heat from the fence... I'm in Perth so that makes it quite a hot spot in summer but very shaded/ cool in winter. I would love to grow stonefruit or something similar there but I'm afraid that it will get burnt. I already have passionfruit, apples, pears, citrus and a huge mulberry tree... any suggestions about what might grow there would be great! | About the Author tiggywinkle kewdale 9th September 2019 9:41pm #UserID: 7055 Posts: 3 View All tiggywinkle's Edible Fruit Trees |

Jez says... I have a guava and wax jambu that is facing south that get a glimmer of sunshine from east and west, grow well and get fruit from guava. They would go better in the SW position you are considering. +1 regarding fig mentioned above, that will fill the area nicely. Picone black is a beautiful tasting fig. | About the Author Jez Perth 11th September 2019 9:06pm #UserID: 16131 Posts: 26 View All Jez's Edible Fruit Trees |
