I was wondering how i should germinate my achacha seed, I recently put then in very damp newspaper in a jar. I was wondering if this would work or should I germinate my seeds in a different way?

Lils, they take up to a few months to germinate, so don't be expecting anything too soon. I plant them into a pot full of fine coco-peat and keep them damp. They send down a long tap-root first.
Being in Vic, I'd be finding somewhere warm.

Last week I bought few Achacha fruits, removed seed, cleaned it with water and put it in plastic bag (thinking I'll put in soil on that weekend), 2 days later I opened bag and noticed 2 seeds were already started growing tap root.. I think that was very quick considering they take long time to germinate... I have now put those seeds in pot, not sure how long they will take now to fully germinate..

Lils, putting it in very damp newspaper in a jar might work for you but you need to damp that paper more often and there is chance that fungus will start growing in the jar. You can put it in coco-peat as suggested above by John Mc, that will work much better I think. Good luck.

You are right john.It takes some time to germinate. You can use the structure of coco peat, it is useful for the soil conditioning and the coco peat is having a slow degradation rate so that it is used in the growth of the plants.
