Hi! After much research, I still have no idea what this tree in my backyard is. Someone suggested guava, but from the pictures that I've seen the "berry" on my tree has different characteristics. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Jessie

Have you asked on the Cloudforest cafe rare fruits forum? They are mostly Californians and should know what it is.

First reaction was that it looks like a kei apple, but the leaves look strange, like an imbe (though fruit is definately not Imbe).

The leaves remind me of pittisporum - but have no idea what it is! Anyway - just wanted to say that it is a very handsome looking tree...I love it!

The bark and the colour of the exposed timber at the trunk also tell me its a type of pittosporum
