If I have a tree that's producing sweet tasting oranges will the accidental cross pollination with a neighbour's lemon tree make a for a less sweet tasting orange?

The overall opinion is no. It is a common question with Citrus. If the fruit are less sweet, or odd looking,
it is often traced back to rootstock suckers.

It won't affect your oranges. It would only have any effect if you grew from the seeds.
