Hi guys,
All 4 of my Jaboticaba's are currently struggling in Melbourne.
They lost their leave in September and as of November - are still struggling to push new leaves out.
They are not dead - as new leaves are trying to emerge and the branches are still green.
Their soil is constantly wet and they get full sun.
I've had these plants for 2 seasons and cannot recall these issues last year.
Any other Melbourne Jaboticaba enthusiasts have similiar issues or is this to be expected in Melbourne?
Thanks for any responses -
Mark

This is normal for my two jabs in melbourne. The leaves either drop or goe dark purpe and around october/november they sprout new growth all the way till very late autumn, as long as they get enough water. They respond very well to liquid fertilizer. Curiously enough the exact same thing happens to my brazillian cherry. Drops it leaves and regrows.
