amanda says... Hi Tinka, oranges require a winter dormancy (ie: cooler temps) to colour. You could try with-holding water to induce this. Different species of citrus have many different requirements depending on their preferred climate etc - maybe the mandarins next door need less chill, are suited to the climate etc. Green orange juice is actually quite nice for some recipies...
