Persimmon tree

    2 responses

Margie Pope starts with ...
Our persimmon tree is causing us problems with our neighbors. Every other year the tree produces fruit and it annoys my neighbor to no end. I have lived in the house over 25 years and tree has always been there, but we just worked through the season. My neighbor now wants to drive nails in the trunk of the tree, telling me it will cause the tree to not produce fruit any longer, is this true? I am areally tired of fighting over it.

Thank you,
Margie

I would not put any nails through the trunk - this will certainly kill the tree!!! If the tree is on your property and you want to keep it - all your neighbour can do is to get rid of the branches that hang over into his yard. Hope you can resolve this.

I'm guessing this'll make the tree look out of kilter- but cutting the branches that overhang the fence would be the best thing to do- and it'd be more neighbourly to do it yourself- after all- it's your tree.
