Hi All

I have a large gum tree I need to remove what’s the best way to do this. Any ideas so far leaning towards poison or copper nails. Thoughts, thank you

You can't do anything until you get approval from your local council for you to prune/remove your gum tree.
Without approval you risk getting a hefty fine for killing/removing you gum tree.

I dont know if you need council approval to remove a tree in every area, maybe if you are removing a Ficus Rubber Tree, you may need council to Rubber Stamp that??.
If you need approval, you may be better to cut the tree down, or remove limbs instead of killing it with poison, you will end up with a standing dead tree. They can be harder to deal with than live trees, if you have to remove it later.
