There are at least a dozen species that get called rose apples and I presume you are talking about Syzygium jambos rather than samarangense or malaccensis that get the name pretty often.There are 60 year old jambos street trees in Cairns and 40 year old ones look like youngsters.Whether it would a lifespan of 100's of years would be a guess.

yeah, long lived would be my guess too. Some of what are termed rose apples can be pretty nasty, Jambu is good, lau lau is ok but not as good IMO.
