Soil Solver (forum)

In desperation to address the water repelling qualities of our soily sands I have started using Soilsolver instead of Wetting soil granules that only seem to last a couple of months. Results seem very promising with crumbly water retaining soil evident, & I wondered if this is permanent as claimed on the bag?

Those who live in clay soil areas will tell you that clay definitely stays put (unless washed away in deluges). If kaolin clay is the principal ingredient of soilsolver, then is there any reason to think it won't be permanent? Good luck with your soil improvement SG.

Thanks Diego, I know you would have similar soils to me as I once lived on the coast between Torremolinos & Gibraltar!
That was over 40 years ago!

Hey SG - I have been using the Soil Solver here in the new place since we arrived (Aug2012) and I am very happy with it...
Yes - it will stay put :-)
Unlike bentonite clays :-(
I spent the better part of a day last week washing all the bentonite granules (cos it doesn't dissolve!) out of the previous owners veg patch, and into adjacent the fire break!
I can take a pic if u like!
All the sand was highly water repellant too - so it didn't do anything in that dept either...?!
I havee started again with soil solver and lots of OM.
