Blue qaundong is inedible, I have two very large trees and get you a lot of seed.
If you want to go blind and wind up in an asylum with with a horror show playing over and over in your head forever, by all means, use Datura. I have personally seen exactly what an overdose can do to the human mind. It contains what is probably the most psychologically damaging substance known to science. It was in fact given to the concubines of chieftains in certain south American countries; it made them march happily into giant pits to be buried alive. It has the unique affect of removing one's free will. It is still used by criminals in such places as bolivia to drug tourists. Stay away from Datura.

I can collect some seed, sure. They might be tricky to germinate, I say this because of the thousands of fruit that are dropped every year I have never seen a seedling pop up anywhere.

If you mean in the phonetic military sense, as in Dog Echo Charlie (DEC) then yes.
