My Edible Fruit Trees: Golden Dorsett SA
Golden Dorsett
Apple - Dorsett Golden (Grafted) 10/10Bloodanddreams 's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2633 days 18hrs Comments: - This is simply a fantastic tree. Very easy going, bearing enthusiastically even when not flowering in tandem with any of it's neighbours. Have an Anna, Tropic Sweet, Tropic Beauty, Ein Shemer, Ellisons Orange and Wild Granny (Diggers), but this tree really shines. Has had fruit for 2 seasons now, although the birds got to them the first year - they were my first ever apples and earlier than I expected (November), but mid January in 2017. Still getting to know it, but I am a big, big fan. Gorgeous looking fruit that can be enjoyed crisp, or softer. (I gave one to my neighbour who said it was the first apple she had eaten in years due to her teeth). Would seriously recommend this to anyone with a non traditional apple climate. I am already looking forward to next year. Neighbouring trees growing, but do not flower simultaneously. Perhaps when they have a few more years on them, meanwhile I have this golden beauty.
