Sept/Oct 2009 Ist time flowering. Planted 2002. Maybe due to the plentiful amounts of fertilizer & Dolomite.  Cut off 3m growth rootstock (Manzanillo Cuttting) Oct 2009, it too was flowering but in small amounts.

Two pests.

One is lacebug - tiny insects which seriously damage leaves. Can be wiped off by hand when tree is small, but will need spraying when tree is larger.

The second problem is a small borer grub which ringbarks the young tree typical

Occasional leaf damage by lacebugs. Need to check regularly and wipe off by hand or spray. If unchecked can damage large number of leaves. Also need to check for caterpillars which occasionally can wipe out a lot of leaves.

Comments: - Arbequina Olive planted March 2016 as polinator for the other olives.  It had fruit on it in the second year.  Growing well.  The olives will do well here on the sandy soil.  Don't seem to mind the wind too much either
