Loquat - Nagasakiwase

$49.00 ($49.00-$99.00 choose a size)

The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.

Old Man Saltbush

$19.90 ($4.90-$19.90 choose a size)

The largest of the saltbushes, growing to 3m. The leaves are an attractive silvery-grey. Flowers appear throughout the year on separate male or female plants. Frost and salt tolerant, it is hardy and responds well to pruning. Can be used in wind breaks or pruned into an attractive hedge. Frequently used as a fodder plant for sheep and cattle as it is drought tolerant and is an excellent forage when other feed is scarce. Does best in a sunny, well drained position. It will not tolerate water logging.

Palm - Date Khadrawy

$24.00 ($19.75-$29.00 choose a size)

Originally from Iraq, Khadrawy are a small date with high moisture content, making it nicely gooey with a rich caramel flavour, though less sweet than the Medjool date. They are a dark mahogany colour with dry, flaky, paper-like skin. The flesh melts in your mouth. Mostly eaten fresh but when dried the sugars can crystallise giving it a crunch. Our palms are small seedlings and are not sexed, they will take about 4-6 years to flower approximately and you will not be able to tell if they are male or female until then. We recommend a planting of at least three to increase your chances of having both a male and a female palm.

This elegant tree is often referred to as fake chocolate due to its similarities to cocoa in taste and texture. A Mediterranean tree, favouring arid conditions. Seedlings can be Male, Female, or bisexual. Prefers well drained soil.

Dwarf Orange - Navelina

$44.00

A Spanish variety. Navelina produces fruit of excellent quality and brilliant colour, very early in the season. Good fruit size and naturally develops an outstanding deep red orange skin which is very attractive. Trees are compact and smaller growing than most varieties of orange, when grown on Flying Dragon rootstock it is a very small tree, well suited to container and balcony growing.
