One of the most popular small fruits of the American tropics, the Red Mombin - Spondias purpurea.The Red Mombin may be a shrub or low-branched small tree 8m in height. The branches are thick and brittle. The tiny, 4- to 5-petalled flowers are red or purple and borne in short, hairy panicles along the branches before the leaves appear which are a beautiful bright-red or purple when young. The fruits are plum-like, borne singly or in groups of 2 or 3,varying in colour from purple to bright-red, even yellow sometimes. They vary in shape and size from 2-5cm. The skin is glossy and firm; the flesh aromatic, yellow, fibrous, very juicy, with a rich, plum-like, subacid to acid flavor. Best eaten fresh for a light refreshing snack, but can also be made into jams, chutney, stewed, boiled or dried.

Most popular red muscadine grape for wine or juice production. It is self-fertile. Yields and disease resistance are high, and berry ripening is fairly uniform. Flavour is less musky than most muscadine grapes. Excellent fresh eating or good for wine making. Exclusive to Daleys this is a recently released Florida variety. They are vigorous vines and should not be planted where they can escape into native bushland, as they would quickly smother trees and shrubs around them.

The Goji Berry is native to the Himalayas and inner Mongolia where it has been used for thousands of years. They have a juicy taste comparable to cranberries or tangy plums. The Goji Berry is a sprawling shrubby vine that lives for 5-8 years. The fruits are small and shiny red with oval berries about 1cm long with lots of small edible seeds in the center. Plants prefer a sheltered sunny spot with good drainage and respond well to pruning after fruiting which can help keep its sprawling habit under control. Lycium barbarum grows into a shrub 2.5m high and wide.
