Magnolia - Rustica Rubra

$39.00 ($27.00-$79.00 choose a size)

This is one of the most spectacular of the spring-flowering trees and one of the easiest to grow. During winter its bare branches are covered with large tulip-like flowers, rose-pink outside and white inside. Prefers a rich acid soil. Rustica Rubra is the best flowering magnolia for subtropical climates.

Little Kurrajong - Best Pink

This grafted selection flowers early. The large, bell-shaped flowers are usually deep pink and occur in clusters at the ends of the branches. The flowers are very spectacular and are followed by seed capsules which contain many large seeds.

The aroma of the fruits is similar to ruby grapefruit, and is perfect for cocktails and drinks, as well as cooking. It is a great variety for growing in containers and in warm courtyards, and does best in full sun. Water thoroughly in spring and summer.

Achacha

$39.00 ($19.75-$129.00 choose a size)

A cousin of the mangosteen, Achachas are tangy and refreshing with a delicate subtle sweetness, a fine balance between sweetness and acidity, producing an unusual taste sensation. Fruit should be picked mature as it does not ripen further on storage. Originating from the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in South America, the Bolivian name of the fruit is Achachairu and translated means honey kiss. Achacha is protected by Plant Breeders Right (PBR) and cannot be grown or propagated without licence agreement with Achacha Fruit Group

Magnolia Midnight

I am obsessed with deciduous Magnolias. People say you can't grow them in the Subtropics but I beg to differ. "Never say die," that's my motto.. I had tulips too one year in inner-city Brisbane.. You never know till you try..
