Due to the difficulty and slowness in growing Flying Dragon, Citrus varieties grafted onto this variety are usually more expensive. C35 Citrange

Bred by the University of California and released in 1987, C-35 is a modern hybrid of Ruby Blood Orange and Poncirus trifoliata. Its an excellent choice for growers looking for good frost tolerance and reliable performance in well-drained soils. C-35 is particularly suited to replant sites and handles high-pH soils better than many other rootstocks, although its best avoided in highly saline or calcareous conditions.Trees on C-35 show strong resistance to tristeza virus and citrus nematode, with reduced susceptibility to Phytophthora root rot. Fruit quality is excellent, comparable to Carrizo citrange, and it performs well with a wide range of citrus varieties.For the healthiest results, always use certified disease-free budwood.
