Lychee - Salathiel

Cherry - Minnie Royal

$69.00 ($54.00-$89.00 choose a size)

Minnie Royal cherry is a low chill producer of fruit with stand out flavour. It is a medium to large sized, red cherry with a firm texture. The tree is very productive and has been known to set heavy crops in southern California. Chill hours can be as low as 200 hours and does depend on micro climate. Fruiting can be as early as November. Minnie Royal requires a pollinator which has traditionally been the older Royal Lee variety but flowering times of these 2 can be mismatched in warmer areas and an intermediary is helpful. The newer, self pollinating Royal Crimson blooming can bridge between these two. Bees are the main pollinating insects, so plant flowering herbs to attract them to your garden. Other stonefruit may also provide pollination services. Plant within 5m of each other for best results. Hand pollination could be helpful in years where flowering times are mismatched.

Lychee - No Mai Chi

$74.00

One of the most prized and desired varieties in the world and the leading variety in China. Large red fruits with small seeds, they have clean, dry fruits that are excellent for drying. The trees are harder to grow than other varieties and can be frustratingly slow but with extra care and nurturing they are well worth the effort for the quality of their fruits. Better suited to areas with cool winters. Late season.

Wax Jambu - Red

$79.00 ($34.00-$99.00 choose a size)

Red waxy skin with crisp white flesh. Highly ornamental as well as sweet and tasty. Fast growing tree bearing attractive red pear shaped fruit that is crunchy and refreshing on a hot summers day. A highly ornamental fruit due to its striking red colour. They generally don't have seeds but may on rare occasions, depending on pollination.

Dwarf Macadamia

$46.95 ($14.90-$46.95 choose a size)

A dwarf Macadamia selection, growing to only about half normal size. Precocious bearer of small sized nuts. Ideal for pots or limited space.
  Special

Acerola - Florida Sweet

$29.00 ($14.90-$79.00 choose a size)

This bright red cherry like fruit has varying tastes during different stages as it ripens. When fully ripe the fruit is juicy and aromatic with its acid content giving it a sweet acid apple-like flavour. The tree can produce a number or crops each year, making for quite a long harvest season. Our selection is called the acerola Florida Sweet Cherry and is a pleasant eating variety that is not too sour. The acerola is well suited to pot culture where it can be kept to a smaller size. It could also be grown this way in cooler climates where it can be moved to a warmer position in the winter. A word of warning the foliage of the plant is covered in tiny irritating stinging hairs that can produce an allergic reaction. When pruning your trees wear a long sleeved shirt and a pair of gloves.

Pixzee Miniature Peach tree was purchased last year.  So far it has flowered and produced numerous little peaches that I picked off the tree. It seems to be living up to its name: it hasn't gotten much larger at all in the year that I've had it.

Gorgeous blossom show in the spring. This alone makes this one of my favourite trees in my orchard. Fruits ripen later in the season in the subtropics, susceptible to fruit fly but it is easy to net as it is only a small tree.I planted a second seedling...

Now this little plant stays small and definitely needs a great sunny position. Early sun preferably. I did get fruit however I got fruit fly as well. Next season I need to be far more vigilant.

This is a dwarf variety, but compared to my other dwarf peach it is growing painfully slow. I have fertilised it well and it is even in a better spot. PH is spot on, so I think it must just be the variety.

This little guy started off on the other side of the garden and then was moved to make room for a new chicken pen. It is doing pretty well considering the transplant.

Full of fruits so you must pick off and keep only a few. The remaining peaches don's seem to grow much bigger than a large golf ball. Could it be due to the small pot size ?

Lovely shape and nice and small.  It is just having its first few blossoms and new leaves. Older leaves have just dropped also.

Suffers badly from peach leaf curl and since it never fully defoliates here, I never manage to spray before leaf set in June. Have never managed to get any fruit off them.
