Bayberry - Chinese Red Seedling

Fruit is typically a deep, brilliant red, but may vary from white to purple. Flesh colour is similar to outer colour, or somewhat lighter. Flesh is sweet and tart with berry flavours. Single seeded. Golden penda

I grew this tree on the central coast of NSW.It faced east-north east in a sheltered spot in my rear garden. Foliage and flowers gorgeous. I bought the tiny tree in Brisbane. What an excellent beautiful tree - not huge - a show stopper.
