I bought these seeds of ebay, but can find next to no information on them at all. I've included the link which has the description, thought I'd take a punt on them as it sounds like a nice shrub which is pretty tough with interesting fruit.

The photos look like a Solanum, maybe something related to naranjilla ??

Jak,

I asked if this was just another name for a lulo, seller says it isn't and tastes completely different. Says is has an acidy, passionfruit/carambola type taste.

cheers

There are other naranjilla close relatives, or other edible Solanums, thats my best guess. What do the seed look like?

if tree is from mexico then it will not be an arctic anything. I see the adds for these seeds too. There is supposedly thornless Naranja. And there are claims about 5deg Fahrenheit farenhoffer
32-(1.8 x 8 )= 17.6 deg fahrenheit.
Somewhat hardy, but definitely not polar.

What does it taste like? If it's a shrub you may have to wait for some time to get fruit.

Let us know what it produces? Is it thorny. Thornless Naranja?

Good Luck!!

Mexico has some mountains with ive caps on them year round so if they ate a very high altitude plant they could be pretty hardy. Most things from highland Mexico aren't bothered by the mild cold we have anywhere in Australia
