It is around , but not common by any means.
I know of one tree that I haven't seen fruit , but it's not in a good spot and not looked after.
I had a go at growing from root suckers -without success - I didn't have the time to look after it.

I had nice drink made from it in Sri Lanka where the tree is known as 'Belli'.
In Thailand they make a drink with slices of the dried fruit.
I think in Thailand they call the fruit 'Matoom'

I don't know of any in australia trikus and remember trying it overseas and not doing cartwheels over it.Is it worthwhile do you reckon trikus?I could send a tentacle out and try to acquire a few seeds if you think it is worth it.

Was lots of fruit laying around up at Whyanbeel ..only picked up one fruit to try . Smelt delicous and tasted ok ... someone nicked half the fruit so only ended up with 6 seeds I have sowed .
