Tried several times to obtain a time when said gent comes to Sydney; replied he is coming but after several unanswered texts have abandoned hope . Strange how a different level of civility applies on the net. PS Bob , hope you read this.

If you do hear from him, tell him he now has at least two reasons to come to Sydney.

He's over on the south-eastern side of Brisbane somewhere. Cant remember exactly. He has quality trees and some rarer stuff (well, rarer cultivars of normal stuff to be more exact), but is a market seller. I wouldnt say he's particularly technologically inclined, so its best to plan to pick things up from his market stalls. It probably wont be easy getting stuff from him if you are outside of SEQ, but that never stopped me trying with much worse suppliers of much rarer plants from FNQ as you might get lucky, but the odds arent in your favour.

yrt it is in Dade County a bit south of the main Miami city area and is more a botanic gardens. They carry out research and have a long and respected history in the fruit field.
I am not sure if PIN is part of the same set up.

NOT MYSTERIOUS AT ALL. LAST TIME I GAVE OUT MY ADDRESS I HAD 1700 TREES STOLEN, 3 YEARS WORK GONE AND THE BASIS OF MY RETIREMENT FUND.
LOST INTEREST IN THIS FORUM A LITTLE AFTER AN APPROACH FROM A VERY RUDE DUDE WHO CALLED ME A RIP OFF AFTER I QUOTED HIM $25 FOR A GRAFTED SAPODILLA DELIVERED TO HORNSBY AND AFTER ALL THIS DALEYS SITE AND I DON'T WISH TO TAKE SALES FROM THEM. I LIKE TO MEET MY CUSTOMERS FACE TO FACE. SORRY THAT YOU FOUND ME 'UNCIVIL' I'M SURE BUNNINGS/MASTERS WILL SELL YOU WHAT YOU
WANT AND TREAT YOU WITH THE RESPECT YOU SO OBVIOUSLY DESERVE.

Sorry to hear about your health challenges, the rude dude(who should be named if possible) and the incredible loss of that many trees. The cops should be able to trace that many trees as the tree pool out there is not all that big.

Bob, rest well, get well. Thank you for your explanation, not that you owe anyone anything on this forum. John maybe you can organise a market day near you for Dr Fruit - at your place? :)

OK , the gentleman is sick; sorry at anyone's misfortune especially as he seems to serve a niche market .
Having said that and meant it , I ,as a medico, cannot accept the line of "300mg of morphine" in a therapeutic setting. Such exaggeration , which it certainly is, casts doubt on the rest of the statement---1700 trees stolen . Could it be 17 trees misplaced?
Don't even bother to howl in outrage at my insensitivity as I realize that the opportunists in the forum will find it hard to resist the chance to advertise themselves as much finer people than I.

Terrence, they could have been seedlings - have you thought of that? As to dosage, I've been on a number of medication for years and if you ask me to quote the dosage I'd probably get it wrong.

MaryT , no one asked the gentleman to quote the dosage ;instead he volunteered it and exaggerated for effect. My comment stands --his exaggeration casts doubt on the rest of the facts.

Terrence I am not asking you to change your mind; I was offering an alternate view, that's all. From what I'd read on the forum it was the members of this forum who'd been pleading for Dr. Fruit to return to the forum (on other threads) because what he had to offer was different to what we can get from Daleys. I say this as a strong supporter of Daleys and someone who do not tolerate opportunists who come on the forum just to advertise.
